Q-DRUG's 2nd Annual
Purple for Prevention Decorating Contest
We invite you to show your support for youth and community members choosing to be substance free as well as any community member, young or old, in the Quabbin District working hard to recover from substance use disorder.
What is our message for our youngest students?
Be proud to be you
Make healthy choices that are best for you
Take care of yourself
Talk to an adult when you need help
Be kind to others and yourself
As youth age we begin to include conversations about substances, and continuing to make healthy choices that are in their own best interest.
Take care of yourself
Talk to an adult when you need help or support
Be kind, caring, and supportive of others
Encourage friends and peers to make healthy choices
If someone makes a poor choice, remember it does not make them a bad person
Caring adults are here to support and guide our youth towards better choices/decisions in the future.
We encourage all QRSD youth to be-"Proud to be me". This means having the self confidence to be their authentic self, without needing any substances to change, alter, or "enhance" themselves. We encourage youth to be comfortable with their friends, peers and themselves.
